NEW CPR Guidelines!!!

You need to update your safety courses!

Keep yourself refreshed and up to date with the courses you need to have in case of an emergency.  YOU NEED to stay refreshed with PADI's Emergency First Responder Course and the Oxygen First Aid Provider so you will be ready to respond in an emergency.  DAN also has a new course - -  On-Site Neurological Assessment for Divers - it's a fantastic tool for divers to have in their "knowledge toolbox" to be able to help themselves or other divers!

New CPR Guidelines:

Guidelines 2005 provided the latest recommendations on CPR,

30 chest compressions to 2 ventilations are now the standard.

More information can be found by clicking here.

We want to urge everyone to learn how to save a life by performing CPR and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator.  The life you save might be one of ours, one of your family members or a co-worker.  Check with us for an Emergency First Responder Course!  Get your family or friends together and we can arrange a course time for you.

**Remember, you need to update your emergency skills at LEAST every TWO years!  If you are a dive professional it's a good idea to update every year!

Check this out!  A "new" course for

the non-divers in our lives:

DAN's Dive Accident First Aid for Non-Divers

Often, non-divers end up having to care for divers in a dive emergency. Possible scenarios include:

bulletDivers’ symptoms don’t show up for three or four hours after a dive and they are home with a non-diving spouse.
bulletA diver surfaces early in a dive while the divemaster is off the boat leading the dive. Only the captain or a deckhand or non-diving spouse is onboard.

Understanding that, DAN has created a simplified version of its training courses with the non-diver in mind. The Dive Accident First Aid for Non-Divers program includes key skills from:

bulletOxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries
bulletFirst Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries
bulletAutomated External Defibrillators (AEDs) for Scuba Diving

You can read more about the course on DAN's website (click here)  or call us for more information and to get you and your spouse, children, and friends signed up.  (These courses are valuable for divers as well!  Make it a family class!)
